SUMMARY


Reporting to the Director, Human Resources for Operations, IT & Claims, this role will provide HR support to the Operations/Claims department in Lynchburg, VA.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Plan, direct, and coordinate HR activities of assigned client group for Lynchburg Claims. This includes implementation of core HR strategies and processes such as compensation, benefits and payroll, HR policies and practices, staffing, training and development, communication and community relations.

  • Develop organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establish human resources strategy and goals aligned business goals and strategies.

  • Work with clients to determine the best interventions to drive high performance levels and enhance team effectiveness. Supply front-end analysis of performance issues to develop potential solutions. Facilitate implementation of solutions and monitor effectiveness.

  • Supply coaching and mentoring to associates and managers.

  • Recruit, interview and help select candidates who best fit the company's needs.

  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve employee relations, work performance, and organizational productivity concerns. Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions. Effectively mitigate legal risks.

  • Provide coaching/consulting on change initiatives to drive organizational change and enhance business performance.

  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducts investigations and maintains records. Handles employee complaints in a timely and effective manner.

  • Partner with leadership to ensure programs and practices align to the desired culture of the organization. Implement activities that drive employee engagement.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business or other relative discipline

  • 5 or more years Human Resources experience

  • Demonstrated track record of employee advocacy

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Proven influencing skills with a track record of coaching others

  • Strong people skills:
    ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization to address a broad range of issues

  • Ability to make sound HR decisions and maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to manage concurrent deadlines with multiple priorities


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • SPHR, PHR, and/or SHRM-SCP

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or another relevant field

  • Financial services experience

  • Human Resources business partner experience supporting Claims, Operations or Customer Service employees


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
